2009 and 2010

Hmmmm... A new year.  It does force one to reflect, doesn't it?  And then drink heavily.

2009 has been a pretty good year, I'd say.  But not without it's ups and downs.  Telle est la vie.  Telle est la musique.  Tel est l'amour.  Telle est lart. 

The passing of a year forces one in to list mode.  And I admit it.  I'm a list guy.  So, without further ado, here are my lists:

Things That Got Done In 2009



  1. Recorded Beautiful Empty with some of the most talented people I've ever worked with (yes - i just ended a sentence with a preposition -- sue me)

  2. Recorded another, as yet unnamed record

  3. Started writing a third record

  4. Played some amazing shows with some amazing artists

  5. Helped found the People's Kazoo Orchestra

  6. Collaborated with 65 visual artists from all over the country (Common Box Project)

  7. Collaborated with 15 filmmakers from all over Colorado (Beautiful Empty Short Film Conspiracy)

  8. I got a radial arm saw -- and haven't cut a finger or hand off yet!

  9. Did a triathlon with my brother (his first)

  10. Became friends with some incredible people

  11. Wow.  This list could be really long...

  12. I should stop, probably

  13. And it's boring anyway.


Here's the point: 2009 was a good, hard, creative, amazing year!  I'm ready for 2010.  Bring it on.


I hope YOU have a great 2010.  I hope we'll see each other out there somewhere -- soon -- in the new year!
