Hey Muffaletta,
I'm holed up in a hotel room in New Orleans, sick with a chest cold. I wonder if we get sick in order to slow down long enough to finally take a little stock... as if it's the viral world's way of saying, "Whoa pony!".
Anyway, I was just thinking about how great it is and how lucky we are to have run in to one another. I mean, I feel that way. Most people who make music/art would probably still do it even if no one listened or looked. But it's SO MUCH BETTER when someone receives it. It closes the loop.
All these songs and short films and pieces of art are like orphan children sent out into the world with not very good parenting. They're only half-finished, really. They need your fingerprints, your weirdness, your intention and your influence if they're going to make it in this world. They grow up and become consequential in your care.
So... Thank you. Thanks for answering the door when we send out another batch of snot-nosed orphans who don't really know anything yet. Thank you for making room.
See you soon,
JC&BFoL
