writing
i hadn't written for like 4 weeks... because of pretour stuff and then the tour itself. and then a couple of days ago, i realized that I was about to get kicked out of this writing group i'm in (supposed to write song a week, inspired by a phrase that gets emailed out) if I didn't just FUCKING WRITE SOMETHING, ANYTHING.
so I sat down and just blurted out an idea in 10 minutes, recording it on my cell phone. barely a song, really , just an idea.
and it completely changed me for like 48 hours. the act of writing, it's like a great drug.
it made me realize how utterly important writing is to me... it makes me feel normal. just the doing of it, regardless of the outcome. like going for a run, or eating good food or something.
