Dayton

I like Dayton, Ohio. I also like Southpark Tavern. It's a sneaky joint... When you walk in, initially, it looks like a neighborhood pizza joint. Which it is. But the sneaky part is the people... They love good original music. Love it. We had a blast playing there with Grownup Noise and hanging out afterward.

Thanks Dayton.

Another bonus was watching while Kyle (a great musician, sound engineer, booking agent at Southpark) schooled Casey (a rabidly loyal North Carolinian) on the fact that Dayton is the true birthplace of the airplane, despite North Carolina's "first in flight" claim.

Turns out, Kyle is correct. The Wright Brothers did all of their hard work inventing the airplane in Dayton and only traveled to Kitty Hawk "because they had wind and a beach". The best quote of that conversation was when Kyle said, "North Carolina is lying. Saying they are the first in flight is like going to Burger King, buying a Whopper, taking it home, and then claiming your apartment is The Home of the Whopper."

Ha!
