I'll write songs while you paint.
we'll spend our days taking coffee breaks
the insides out, the outsides in
you, the her. me, the him.
no need to give in or justify
no more grim self talk or alibis
just a room or a road or a horizon, there
catching light inside your hair.
or caught forever inside this pen
caught forever, the her, the him.
