Prague is lovely today. The sky is an impassive gray. Central European Gray... That should be a color in the Martha Stalin collection... sort of the opposite of La Fonda Fiesta Blue. (That is an actual M.S. color. Check it yourself.) I just got back from my morning walk: a quest to find a sports store to buy running tights (check), gloves (check) and a fleece jacket to run in (check)... all purchased at this sprawling monstrosity of a mall named The Palladium stuck unceremoniously in the middle of Old Town. I'll be looking dorky but warm on my runs around Prague... and I don't care. It's a great way to see a town, running. I'm going to go and just get lost later today... The cobblestone streets seem to go on and on and on. You turn a corner and there is a fabulous opera house. Turn another corner and there is a several hundred year old building whose facade is covered in heroic sculpture. Turn another corner and there is a crazy Gothic looking tower. I haven't seen anyone doing anything that looks remotely like working out here. But Jesus, there are a lot of bars. All good. I asked a couple of hotel concierge's where the closest gym was. They looked a little puzzled, and then pointed me toward a gym that's near on Wenceslas Square.... where I can work out, see the National Museum and then get a hooker. That's multi-tasking. Oh, I didn't get arrested last night. Nor did I meet a local t.v. star. But give me time, dammit, give me time.

It's perfect that we can receive the loan and that opens completely new possibilities.
