This is probably my favorite pieces of architecture in Prague... It's the town's television and radio tower. Built in the final days of communist Czechoslovakia, it was detested by the local folks... Evidently, it's a good example of "brutalist architecture".
I saw it while driving around Prague at night with a friend, looking for a music club named Palac Akropolis. I yelled out "What is THAT?" and made her stop the car.
I got out and just looked up at it from below for a while. It's quite large. And at night, it's subtly lit with blue, red and white light... like some alien launch pad.
I was transfixed... and shot this picture with my little camera:
